I am sorry for the loss of your mother. I had lunch with her a few times and attended a concert with her in the last few years. She was a special lady. We shared a connection as cat lovers. To Twila, Jan & family, Eileen was a lovely lady & such a help to me during my stay in the Music Dept @ Hollins College in the 70's. Twila, I remember teaching you at some point during that time. Your Mother was so proud of both of you. I enjoyed connecting with her for a short time after I moved back to Roanoke. We enjoyed attending Jim Leland's recital @ Christ Church. Please accept my sincere sympathy. She was truly a beautiful lady with an unforgettable smile, & will be missed by many. Much love, Ann (Argabright) Berlin.

When growing up in Midway I used to spend hours in the store she and Hartwell operated. I wiil never forget her very kind ways. I am saddened to hear of her passing.

My deepest sympathy on the loss of your mother. She was a wonderful, warm and classy lady and will be missed by everyone who's life she touched. I lost my father three years ago so I know how difficult this time must be for you, but please know that the thoughts and prayers of everyone who knew you and your mother are with you at this time and take solace from those who are thinking and praying for you.

Dear Twila and Jan and families,
Your mother was the epitome of a Southern lady. She was just a classy and elegant hostess. I am so happy I was able to attend her retirement party to witness all the love she had from so many!
God Bless you all..Know that she is dancing a wonderful tango with your dad now in heaven.
