John Yopp Obituary

John L. Yopp Jr., 40, of Franklin County, Va., and Roanoke, Va., died on Saturday, July 24, 2010. He was born on January 3, 1970, to the late John Lewis and Nellie Sloan Yopp. He was a member of Lamplight Baptist Church. Surviving are his brother, Mike Yopp (Elizabeth); sister, Sarah Chitwood; half sister, Sue Jewell; a very special friend, Debbie LaBiosa and family; uncles, Arthur (Jan) Sloan, Tommy Beckner, Joe Yopp, Howard Yopp and Simon Gibson; two aunts, Faye Carter and Sylvia Yopp; wife, Nikki L. Yopp; special friends, John and Vivian Foley, Violet Moran and family, and Hi Wheeler; and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help with expenses. Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 29, 2010, at Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jeff Gardner officiating. Interment will follow at Bethlehem Church of the Brethren Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at ConnerBowman Funeral Home & Crematory, Rt. 220 at Wirtz Road, Rocky Mount, Va., 540-334-5151.

i am so sorry that you were not around beings i used to waiy on you at the steak and egg kitchen. also i waitied on your mom and dad to. i am just sorry we did not get to spend any time with you seings i am married to your cousin. luther you was always a very good friend. i know you are in a better place.
