I was so very,very sad to hear about John passing.He was a GREAT GUY and a good friend to have.I know John from DC,the 5th street gang as we would all call ourselves.I have alot of great memories of John being apart of the GANG! John was a such a good person, just the kind the world could use more of. I knew him from work and was so pleased to see him at the neighborhood grocery.
When I talked with John, he often spoke so lovingly of his wife and it was just another of his many wonderful traits. He will be missed.

Tammy so sorry to hear about John. Sounds really sudden and very unexpected. My deepest condelences to you and all the family. My thoughts go out to everyone he knew and especially those closest to him. I had the pleasure of getting to know John and work beside him at Richfield. I even had the chance to speak with him briefly at the Kroger in Cave Spring about a year after I left Richfield. It was a chance encounter as I am not in that area very often. Seeing John then made my day.
I am certain he touched many lives and the world has lost a loving husband, caring sibling, good chef and a great man.

I worked at kroger in customer service a few years back before becoming disabled and became friends with John and he always asked my wife about me after i got sick. he will truly be missed. and my prayers and thoughts go out to his wife and family.we will miss you JOHN!

It's with heavy heart that I'm writing this entry. John's kindness and gentle nature endeared him to all that was lucky enough to have met him, whether for just a few moments or for much longer. His physical presence will be great missed, but the memories of many cherished times will be forever in the minds of those who loved him most.

John was a wonderful man who had a heart of gold and who was an awesome guy to work with. He was like a father figure becasue he always gave good advice and was always there when I needed some to talk to.I will always remember him for his wondeful smile and his huge heart. Hearing the news of John's passing is one of the more heart wrenching things that I have experienced in a long time.

I worked in the meat dept. and John would always come to our dept. and say what can I fix today or what specials do you have? John will be missed by so many at Brambleton Kroger. He was a very special and sweet guy and one of a kind. My heart goes out to his family. Such a sad loss. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. We will miss our Chef John!
