Laura Smith Obituary

Laura Lucille Lynn Smith, 86, of Buena Vista, Va., died on Monday, June 7, 2010, at Carilion Stonewall Jackson Hospital. Born on March 26, 1924, in Buena Vista, she was a daughter of the late Charles A. and Laura Shanks Lynn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Elwood M. Smith. Surviving are her children, Dianne King, Barry "Pinky" Smith, and Susan Khospasand; two sisters, Mary Lee Mutispaugh and Charlotte Dudley; four grandchildren, Cameron and Stephanie Smith, Nessa Khoshpasand O'Hare, David Khoshpand and Megan Coleman; two greatgrandchildren, Makenna Smith and Ryan O'Hare; a special niece, Sharon Rhodes; and dedicated friends, Gay Ramsey, and Paul and Donna Smals. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 10, 2010, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Christian Becker officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista, Va.
