Lucy L. Dale

Lucy L. Dale, 81, of Lexington, went to her Heavenly home on Thursday, February 9, 2012. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thurman; and two daughters, Linda Dale Wimer and Sandra Dale Hayslett. Mrs. Dale is survived by her daughters, Brenda Morris and husband, Floyd, and Barbara Higgins and husband, Wilmer. She is also survived by two sons-in-law, LeRoy Wimer and Bob Hayslett; her sister, (Virginia) Jane Cash; a half brother, Clayton Ramsey; her niece, Mary Kay Main and husband, William; 10 grandchildren, Candy Campbell, Fonda Jessee, Stephanie Elrod, Robbie Hayslett, Carrie Dennett, Troy Wimer, Amy Hayslett, James Higgins, Faith Wimer and C.E. Higgins; and 13 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Rockbridge Area Hospice or Victory Baptist Church in Buena Vista. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Graveside Services will be held at noon on Saturday, February 11, 2012, at Green Hill Cemetery in Buena Vista, Va., with Pastor Dean Staton officiating.
