Lydia MONTGOMERY Obituary

Lydia May Denlinger Montgomery, 85, of Wirtz, died Monday, January 7, 2013. She was born September 22, 1927, a daughter of the late Roy and Ada Brubaker Denlinger. Surviving are her children, Mike (Marie) Montgomery, of Glade Hill, Marti Montgomery of Greenville, Ohio, Lareda (Barry) Patterson, of Rocky Mount, Wanita (Steve) Rutrough, of Rocky Mount, Calvin (Pauline) Montgomery, of Wirtz; 19 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Joseph (Lois) Denlinger, of Lewisburg, Ohio, Orpha Garber, of Fayetteville, Pa., Glen Denlinger, of Arcanum, Ohio; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Frances Rutrough, Jacob Montgomery, Howard (Goldie) Montgomery, Robert (Carol) Montgomery, Catherine (Elwood) Bowman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Levi Montgomery; son, Lowell; daughter, Parthenia; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joel and Annie Montgomery; an infant brother; brothers and sisters, Alma (Don) Sullenberger, Levi (Elsie) Denlinger, Ralph Garber, Lloyd (Lois) Denlinger, Irene Denlinger; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, James Rutrough, Crist (Ethelene) Montgomery, Mary Montgomery.
Funeral services will be conducted from Oak Hill Old German Baptist Brethren Church 10 a.m. Friday, January 11, 2013, with the Home Brethren officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice, 2408 Electric Road, Roanoke, VA 24018. Her family will receive friends 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Oak Hill Old German Baptist Brethren Church. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
