Lynwood Price

Lynwood Price, 62, went to be with the Lord on April 9, 2010. He was a Vietnam veteran in the United States Army. Mr. Price was preceded in death by brothers, Edward and Bill Price. He is survived by his wife of eight years, Darlene Price, of Riner; daughter, Sherry Sowers and her fiancé, Gary Smith, of Christiansburg; son, Lynwood Price Jr., of Elliston; sister, Joyce King, of Elliston. He is also survived by his nephew, Tommy Wheeler, of Elliston; stepsons, Randy Sowers and his fiancé, Michelle Troutt, of Riner, Everett Sizemore, of Blacksburg, and Gary Alley, of Riner; granddaughter, Whitney Ramey and fiancé, Jeard Anderson; five stepgrandchildren, of Blacksburg. Also surviving are very special friends, Jimmy East, of Elliston, and Cheryl Childers, of Coeburn, Va. The family will receive friends Monday, April 12, 2010, from 5 to 8 p.m. at The Horne Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel.
