Margaret Hartman Obituary

Margaret Elaine Hunley Hartman, 95, of Roanoke, passed away Saturday, June 12, 2010, at the Spring Tree Health and Rehab Center. She has been re-united with her family and friends that have gone before her. Margaret was born on January 16, 1915 to the late S.C. (Cal) and Lelia Fitzgerald Hunley in Roanoke Virginia. She was the wife of the late Robert L. (Mike) Hartman. She was also preceded in death by a son, a sister and three brothers. Surviving are her daughters, Elaine Moles, Bonnie (Tommy) Miller, Donna (special son-in-law, Joe) Spencer, Sheila Hartman and Joyce Dalton. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, 13 greatgrandchildren and nine greatgreatgrandchildren.
Surviving sisters are Geraldine Nelson, Virginia Shutters and Deborah Milam. The family would like to thank all the staff at Springtree and Gentle Shepherd Hospice. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at Lotz Roanoke Chapel with Pastor James Jordan of Red Hill Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 14, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
