Nellie Manning Memoriam

In Loving Memory of Nellie W. Manning 09-07-1920 06-20-2005 Although it's been five years
There are time it seems like only yesterday you were here.
You were the center of our family.
All holidays, reunions, and family gatherings were
Centered around you. And our thoughts are still centered
On your birthday coming up September 7th.
You always were the rock, the provider, the Spiritual leader and the Lady who could do and knew everything.
A person so secure & embedded in her beliefs that it gave you a gentle but firm power.
We miss all that. Passing through Copper Hill breaks our hearts and gives us joy at the same time. Our humble beginnings with a humble country Mother was a blessing in itself. Throw in Christian teachings and common sense and you were the total package.
A legacy of a life without earthly good, but a life that enjoyed the good the Earth provided. A life that was meager, but an inside joy that spilled out and
Always made folks smile & shake their heads. Perhaps one could call you a character of such, but a character mixed with a touch of class, beauty, & toughness.
Yes, Mama, the total package, the ideal lady to have in our lives, & how grateful to
God we are that we were given our greatest gift, next to Jesus, a Mother like you.
And the rest of us will be joining you soon & what a reunion that will be. We know you are there with others but until we get there, know it has been one of our greatest blessings in life to have had you as our Mother. We'll see you soon. Keep the cornbread
Warm on the stove.
Love Always,
Paul, Henry, Rocky, Katherine, Linda, Larry, Michael & grandchildren
