Patsy Renick Obituary

Patsy Law Renick, 67, of Rocky Mount, Va. peacefully passed on Saturday, April 10, 2010 after a courageous battle against cancer. Pat was a devoted wife, mother and a beloved grandmother. She touched the lives of her family and friends through laughter, generosity and good deeds for everyone. She will continue to live in our hearts and will always be remembered for her kindness, selflessness, beautiful smile and relentless work ethic. Patsy is the daughter of the late Emmett N. and Thalia Preston Law, daughter-in-law of Curtis V. and the late M. Indie Vaughn and Benjamin F. Renick. She is survived by her loving husband B. Coy Renick; daughter, Susie Renick Light and son-in-law, Randolph Jackson Light; stepson, Coy L. Renick and daughter-in-law, Bonnie H. Renick and stepson Randy C. Renick; her cherished grandchildren, Anna Randolph Light, Elizabeth Renick Light, Ashley Elizabeth Renick, Christopher Coy Renick, Amanda Leigh Renick, Lyndlee Claire Renick; and great-granddaughter Madison Elizabeth Renick; devoted sister, Paige L. and brother-in-law, Bobby Adams; and brothers, William D. Law, B. Terry Law and Richard N. and wife, Becky Law; nieces Rhonda Law Blankenship and Rita Law Johnson; great nieces, Whitney Paige Blankenship, Devin Kathleen Johnson; and great-nephew Chase Turner Blankenship; uncles and aunts, Hampton and Annise Preston, Oliver and Sue Law and Geneva McDermott. Pat is also survived by many special friends. Funeral services will be conducted from Franklin Heights Baptist Church 11 a.m. Monday, April 12, 2010 with family friend, Rev. Mark Griffith officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Pat Renick to Franklin Heights Baptist Church, 110 Hilltop Drive, Rocky Mount, Virginia 24151. Her family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 11, 2010 at Flora Funeral Service, Rocky Mount.
