Stella Surratt Obituary

Stella Mae Gallimore Surratt, 77, of Shiloh community of Pulaski County, passed away Saturday April 24, 2010, in the Beulah House in Dublin. She was born on March 13, 1933, in Pulaski County, and was the daughter of the late Ollie Thornton Gallimore and Luther Gallimore. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Henry Surratt; and a daughter, Nancy Surratt. She was a retired employee of Pulaski Furniture Corp. She is survived by one daughter, Martha Surratt Hodge and her husband, Archie, of Roanoke; one son, Robert Ray Surratt and his wife, Brenda, of Dublin; one sister, Ruby Stoots and her husband, Curtis, of Pulaski; five brothers, Dallas Gallimore, of Newbern, Paul Gallimore of Pulaski, Richard Gallimore, of Pulaski, Everston Gallimore, of Pulaski, and Fred Gallimore, of Pulaski. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Leigh Anne Hall, of Dublin, Derek Surratt, of Roanoke, and Jason Hodge, of Roanoke; two greatgrandchildren, Sara Hall and Emily Hall; and special friends, Jerry and Doris Jones and Emory and Judy Jones; and a very special friend, Malvine Graham. Funeral services will be held Tuesday April 27, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the Newbern Church of God with the Rev. Clayton Quesenberry and the Rev. Danny McGlothlin officiating. Interment will follow in Shiloh Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening at Seagle Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Flowers will be appreciated, but for those who wish, they may make memorial contributions in her memory to the Beulah House, P.O.
