Lena ANDERSON Obituary
She was preceded in death by her great-grandson, Kendall Shortt; and her loving husband of 49 years, Fred Allen Anderson. Surviving are her one son, Jerry Wayne Anderson; three daughters and sons-in-law, Marie (Greg) Hodges, Teresa (Gary) Guilliams, Freda (Buddy) Gibson; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and special loving companion, Boo-Boo.
A celebration of life service will be held at Flora Funeral Chapel 11 a.m. Wednesday with Chaplain Rick Poland and the Rev. Liz Lazenby officiating. Private family burial will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Carilion Hospice of Franklin County, 390 South Main Street, Rocky Mount as they were a blessing for Lena at the end of her worldly life.
The family wants to thank God for the people of Franklin Healthcare and Carilion Hospice. Her family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount and other times at the home of Marie Hodges, 1255 Lucy Wade Road, Rocky Mount.
