Drue Proctor Obituary

Drue Proctor, 63, formerly of Rocky Mount, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010.
She was born on Sept. 18, 1946, the daughter of Edith Rhem Andrews and the late William Alfred Andrews, Sr. and was married to Joseph Emmett Proctor.
Drue was educated in the Rocky Mount School System and was a 1963 graduate from Rocky Mount Senior High School. She later earned an associate degree in business from Nash Community College and was employed at the City of Rocky Mount where she worked in the Human Resources Department.
After retirement, she and her husband relocated and made their home in Halifax, VA.
Drue was a devoted Christian and long time member of The First United Methodist Church in Rocky Mount.
In addition to her loving and devoted husband and mother, Drue is survived by her daughter; Lisa Sprinkle, granddaughters; Michelle and Amanda Sprinkle from Rocky Mount. Sister; Alice Highman of Atlanta, brother; Alfred Andrews of Red Oak, other beloved family members and dear friends.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 15, 2010 at Powell Funeral Home in South Boston, VA, with Kevin Carter officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home 2 hours prior to the service.

We are so sorry to hear of your loss. I can remember my mother & father speaking highly of Mrs. Proctor, always being so helpful to the employees of the City of Rocky Mount, a true role model.
