Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend of many. He will be so dearly missed by his wife Karen, children Nancy (Brock), Richard (Jennifer), Christine (Stewart), Kurt, grandchildren Cassandra, Allie, Matthew, Elisha, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by son Robert(Pat).
Art joined the Navy in 1948 and served nine years. He worked for many years in the school industry and also for 30 years as a carillon bell representative. He was an active member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows for 13 years, and at time of passing, was serving as Noble Grand of Auburn Lodge #7. He served in many capacities as a dedicated Odd Fellow. He lived life with great enthusiasm, lots of stories, laughter, teasing, and loved to cook for family and friends. He was always there to listen and help when needed.
A gathering will be held at Nancy and Brock Hinton's on Saturday, October 16, 2010 from 2 to 5 p.m., at 5628 Calle Paloma, Granite Bay. All those who knew and loved him are invited to come and celebrate his life. Remembrances in Art's name may be made to Horses for Healing (PO Box 1136, Meadow Vista, CA 95722) or Placer Children's Emergency Shelter(PCES, Angel Fund 11716 Enterprise Dr, Auburn, CA 95603)
