I knew Herb in the early 80's. He introduced me to the mountains of Lake Tahoe. He took me hiking and climbing. He knew the mountains so well that he didn't need to take the paths. He forged his own way. He was an exceptional photographer who captured the essence of nature. He was a talented goalie for the Squaw Valley "Chiefs". I am so sorry to hear of his passing. My condolences to his family. Janet Walsh

I'm so sorry to hear of Herbs' passing. It's been years since I've seen him, but always remember the good times we had in High School. I just loved those black lights.
