In Loving Memory
James "Jim" Henry Louchen
1/30/1959 - 11/10/2010

James "Jim" Henry Louchen passed away November 10, 2010 at his home in Auburn, Calif., after his battle with cancer.
Jim was born January 30, 1959 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He and his family later moved to Foresthill, Calif., where he attended Foresthill Elementary School and Placer High School. He later moved to Auburn where he worked for the last 18 years at Auburn Tire. Jim loved 4-wheeling, camping, hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. Most of all Jim loved spending time with his two beautiful grandsons.
Jim is preceded in death by his mother Ivo Louchen and his father Joseph Louchen. He is survived by his wife of 21 years Debbie Erickson, two step-sons Jason (Theanne) Gruhlke of Foresthill, Chris Erickson of Auburn, three sisters Sharon (Tony) of Loomis, Jolene of Grass Valley, Carol (Gabriel) of Foresthill, aunt, uncles, and numerous nieces and nephews. Our lives were better for all who knew him. He will be missed by many and loved by all.
Memorial Services will be held November 27, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Hall in Foresthill. A potluck will immediately follow. "Live on rockhound"

Jim, my bff, my love my life. When I first met you it was June of 1976. 34 years ago. Long time. 21 years of it I spent with you. It was the best 21 years of my life. We raised 2 beautiful children together. Which we are both very proud of. For someone who had no experience in raising children, I could'nt have asked for a better father. Considering the fact that the boys were'nt even yours, I thank you so very much for loving me enough and my boys to share a lifetime together, however short it was. We were there for each other thick or thin. My heart aches for you every day, and my love grows even more now that you've gone. Gone. I still cannot believe that this has happened to you, to us. We were just getting started in life. It was our time now. But sadley enough I am trying to cope with your absence and go on with life, how ever difficult it may be. And difficult does'nt even scratch the surface of how I'm feeling. I promised you that when Caleb turned 10 I would take him to Disneyland. And by damn I will too. I will make sure that he never forgets his "Pappa" I truly do Love you forever baby. I thank you for opening my heart to new things, and for being there for me when I needed you most.
You are my life, my love.
Till the 12th of never my love.
your soul mate your wife

Uncle Jim was such an amazing person. He had such a magnetic personality and a special gift of making people feel at ease. People genuinely enjoyed being in his company. What a great example he was for how we should treat others. He will be terribly missed
