Jim, a friend, who will never be forgotten, his smile, his good nature, and just being a great person. All who knew him will never forget this kind soul. Rest peacefully in the arms of Jesus. Mary & John Schlatt

Jim was my youngest brother, my soft place to land, and a source of unconditional love. He always took the time to listen, never judged, and always gave his best to whatever he took on.

We talked almost weekly. It was always a relaxed chat, catching up on our week, and just touching base to make sure we were all OK. We never ended a conversation without saying, “I love you”.

He was a kind man, a gentle spirit, and had a good heart. He was always ready with a smile and a positive word. He was content to just be – content to be near and help where he could.

I am proud of my brother, the life he led, the things he did. I am blessed that he was a part of my life and will miss him so much. I know that wherever he his, it’s a better place because he is there. Just as this world is just a little less because he isn’t here.

This world is a better place because he was in it, for however a brief time. We’re all a little better because he touched our lives.
