Lois Curts Obituary

Lois Ellen Curts
7/20/1921-11/20/2010
Lois passed away peacefully in her home on November 20, 2010. She was born on July 20, 1921 in St. Joseph, Missouri and moved to California with her family at the age of 4. She met her husband Lloyd Curts and was married at the age of 18. They were married for almost 40 years, and were co-owners of Roseville Sheet Metal Heating & Air in Roseville for 27 years.
She was a member and past president of Fraternal Order of Eagles Club for 50 years and was also a volunteer at the gift shop at Roseville Hospital and Sutter Roseville Medical Center for 25 years. She was an inspiration to her family and friends. She had a kind heart and loving way about her. Lois was loved by all and we will miss her bright smile and kind words.
Lois is survived by her son Michael Curts of Roseville; daughter and son-in-law Joann and Dale Huntington; grandchildren Lance and Jill Vaught of Roseville; and great grandchildren Alexander and Megan Vaught of Roseville.
Graveside services will be held at Roseville Cemetery on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at 11 a.m.

Lois was a volunteer when I started at the Gift Shop as a volunteer in 1996. She helped train me and when I became Manager was helpful with ideas, etc. She was a great volunteer and very helpful to me when I took over as Manager. She was a person to look up to as a great volunteer. She, and others like her will be missed very much. As Rita said , "Lois, Gladys and Duffy will be a great trio above us. Hopefully, they will all help the Gift Shop continue its great work for the hospital. Florence Smith

Lois and I became acquainted when we worked in the gift shop at Roseville Community Hospital and later ar Sutter Rsvl. Hospital. She was an excellent gift shop manager and well liked by all the other volunteers. I was truly saddened when I read about her death in the Press Tribune. Sincerest sympathy to all her family. Mike, you know my husband -- Regan -- he too sends best wishes. Rita Campbell P.S. I can picture Lois, Gladys and Duffy together again.

I knew Lois from exercise class a long time ago and used to see her around and she was always friendly, a very nice person, never failed to speak and say hello. I am also a Sutter Roseville volunteer as she was. My thoughts are with the all the family, I know she will be missed by all.A very likable lady. Edith
