Mildred Ruth Ware, age 92, passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 4, 2010 after a series of strokes.
Mildred was born September 5, 1918 in Vian, Oklahoma to Joe and Alice Low. She attended school in Oklahoma. She married Wayland Ware, in 1935. They were married 66 years prior to his death in 2001. They lived in Oklahoma, California, and Coquille, Oregon. They lived in Midway City before moving to Grass Valley in 1992.
Mildred was a loving wife, mother, grandma and great-grandma. She devoted her life to her family and grandkids. She worked as a Yellow Cab dispatcher and as clerk at May Co. She enjoyed garage saleing with her husband.
She attended Combie Bible Church and enjoyed playing "Kings in the Corner" with her Solo group. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading her Bible, checking email daily on her WebTV and collecting dolls.
Mildred is survived by her sons Gary (Mary) Ware of Grass Valley; David (Mini) Ware of Honolulu; grandson Kary (Karen) Ware of Stockholm Sweden; granddaughter Cindy Ware of Grass Valley; great-grandson Zachary Clark-Ware; friends at Combie and Solos group.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayland, daughter Norma Jean, parents, five sisters, one brother, grandson Paul Mark Ware.
Graveside services will be held at Arbor Vitae Cemetery in Madera at 1 p.m., Friday October 8, 2010. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Combie Bible Church or Living Well Clinic. We wish to thank all our friends for their prayers and support.
