Patricia Deloys Murray passed away peacefully November 19, 2010 in her own home in Auburn, CA. Born December 12, 1935 in Benton, Missouri to William Earl Irvin and Naretta Lindel Butler. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Reginald A. Murray; sons Reginald Murray Jr. and Gregory Murray (wife Amy Larson); grandchildren Elena Murray and Andrew Murray; sisters Cheryl Denton and Marsha Bertillo.
Patricia was a 1956 graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri with a B.A. in Education. She was an elementary school teacher for over 20 years, including her final 11 years as a 2nd grade teacher at Parker Whitney Elementary in Rocklin, CA.
A lifelong fan of St. Louis Cardinals baseball and traveled annually to St. Louis to attend games in Busch Stadium and watched all Cardinal games on satellite TV. Patricia loved reading mystery books, completing crossword puzzles, and collecting traditional American artwork. She enjoyed quilting and ceramics, and was as a member of the Foothill Quilter's Guild and the Loose Threads mini-group in Auburn, CA. Pat was also an avid traveler who visited all 48 states in the Continental US.
No services will be held, at her request. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sutter Auburn Faith Hospice in Auburn, CA
