Zoe Peplos

Zoe Peplos, 82 ROCKFORD - Zoe Peplos, 82, passed away in her sleep Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at home. Born in Greece on March 15, 1929, and later married James Peplos in Athens. She was a devoted member of Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church and a member of the Philoptochos Society. Zoe was a homemaker and real estate broker who, along with her husband, owned and operated James Peplos Realty for many years. He died Oct. 10, 2003. Survivors include children, Olga (Dino) Peplos Analitis, M.D., Peter (Fran) Peplos, Marika (Robert) Panton and Dino (Helen) Peplos; grandchildren, Alexander and Eva Analitis, Jimmy and Georgiann Peplos, Jonathan, James and Zoe Panton, and Jimmy and Billy Peplos; sisters, Pope Kouropoulou and Hariklia Samartzis. Service at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 4, in Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 108 N. Fifth St., with Father Demetrios Kounavis and Father John Artemes officiating. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 3, in Sundberg Funeral Home, with Trisagion service afterward. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in her name with the church.
