I worked with Mel at Sundstrand for a number of years, I was a Chief Steward and worked with Mel he helped me a lot am sure he will be missed

I'm so happy that I saw Mel last Saturday at the breakfast. Mel was an anchor. He was strong, he cared about Rockford, and he cared about you and your family. He will truly be missed. You have my deepest sympathy.

I was so very sad to hear of Mel's passing. He was such a good and generous man. He was always there to serve others. My condolences to his family. I know his spirit will live on in each of you.

I knew Mel at the UAW Hall when we held phone-banking during the 2008 presidential campaign. He always went out of his way to be helpful and kind to us. I'm sorry he is no longer with us.
