Clemens Schneider Obituary

CLEMENS SCHNEIDER, 89 ROCKFORD - Clemens Schneider, 89, of Rockford left this life Monday, June 6, 2011, to be with the Lord. Clemens was born March 1, 1922, in Strasburg, N.D., the son of Anthony and Mary Anna (Roerich) Schneider. Married Alice May Hayden on Feb. 21, 1948, in Longview, Wash. He was a Marine veteran of World War II and a life member of the VFW Post 9759. Survived by children, Terry Fox, Jay (Terry) Schneider, Mary Douglas and Gene (Deb) Schneider, six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Predeceased by wife, Alice; daughter, Rae Ann; grandson, Jamie; great-grandson, Dylan; his parents; and 11 siblings. The family would like to especially thank the OSF Center For Cancer Care and OSF Hospice. Burial at 11 a.m. Friday, June 10, in Sunset Memorial Gardens, 8800 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park. Memorial luncheon immediately after burial at VFW Post 9759, 2018 Windsor Road, in Loves Park. Condolences at sunsetfhmemardens.com.

We always looked forward to visiting with Clem and and Alice when we came to Rockford to see our friends from Mobridge, SD. Alice loved to show us pictures of the family. Clem reminded me so much of Grandpa Schneider.
