Francys Parks Obituary

FRANCYS 'MAXINE' PARKS, 70 ROCKFORD - Francys "Maxine" Parks, 70, died Sunday, May 15, 2011, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born Aug. 31, 1940, in Thomasville, Mo., the daughter to Cecil and Lura (Miller) Watson. Married George Thomas "Tom" Parks on March 3, 1958, in Rockford; he died Aug. 13, 2000. Maxine worked for more than 20 years at the Rockford K-Mart in the shoe department, retiring in March 2011. She loved going antiquing, going to garage sales and flee marketing. Survived by daughters, Barbara (Benny) Jimenez and Taunya (Tyler) Shelton, all of Rockford; brothers, Charles (Robin) Watson, Paul (Francis) Watson and Jeff (Francis) Haigwood; sisters, Sheila Watson and Debbie Gates; stepsister, Mickey Hastings; grandchildren, Brandie (Rafael) Delarosa, Jennifer (Henry) Schmarje and Abigail Shelton; great-grandchildren, Syleena, Noah, Lexi, Kya, Jarret, Madison, Rafael Jr., Dante and one future great-grandchild to be; special friend, Jim Wyller; and several nieces and nephews. The family would especially like to thank the VNA Hospice team for their loving care, especially Brandi and Heather. Service at 1 p.m. Friday, May 20, at Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, 136 W. Roosevelt Road, Stillman Valley, with Tom Wyman officiating. Burial in Big Mound Cemetery near Davis Junction. Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 19, at the funeral home. I worked with Max at Sandy Hollow Kmart. She was a great lady. I am so saddened by the news. She will be greatly missed. She will always be happy, she has gone to her eternal home with God.

So sad that you had to leave us, but so happy that you are reunited with pa again. I have this vision of the both of you holding hands walking in heaven.
