Kristin Kloster Obituary

KRISTIN L. KLOSTER, 44 DAVIS - Kristin L. Kloster, 44, of Davis died at 11:24 p.m. Monday, June 6, 2011, at home, surrounded by her loving family. Born July 18, 1966, the daughter of Robert and Hedy (Volscho) Doty. Married Michael S. Kloster on Oct. 4, 1997, in Davis. She was employed by ComEd for 14 years working in various positions. She attended Faith Community Church in Davis and Crossroads Community Church in Freeport. She graduated from Harlem High School, Class of 1984. Kristin was such a kind and caring person. She always looked out for other people before herself. Never forgetting a birthday or anniversary, always getting gifts for all her friends and their children. She was a great cook, loved garage saleing and antique shopping. She loved going to Galena and going through all the shops, then having a nice lunch or dinner. The thing she loved the most was being a mother and wife. She did everything she could for her two children, Cade and Rachel. She loved to spoil them. The hardest thing for her to accept, was not being able to be here on earth to raise her kids. I know she will be doing it from heaven. Kristin was a very strong willed person, so she will find a way to raise her children from heaven. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. Survivors include husband, Michael Kloster and children, Cade and Rachel Kloster, all of Davis; mother, Hedy (stepfather, Jack) Miles; sister, Loryn Lawton and nephew, Reese, all of Loves Park; paternal grandmother, Phyllis Doty; stepsister, Jodi Summeril of South Beloit; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by her father, Bob; maternal grandparents, Carl and Hedwig Volscho; paternal grandfather, John Doty; paternal great-grandfather, William Sutter; and cousin, Alison Doty. Funeral ceremonies at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 11, at Faith Community Church, 212 W, McKimmy St., Davis, Pastor Bob Kolb officiating. Burial in Epplyanna Cemetery, Davis. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 10, at the church. A memorial will be established. McCorkle Funeral Home, 101 Main St., Durand, assisted the family. Kristin, you will be greatly missed, I just hope the world knows how much of a great human being you were and what they will miss. In my opinion they were very few people left in the world that brought the genuiene warmth, love and compassion as you did. I will always love and miss you very much.

Garnet tapestry

He wove into our lives this lovely girl -
A rich garnet thread throughout our
Tapestry without which our intricate life
Design would be incomplete.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And for those who knew her best -
Her restless pursuit of the ideal
Something lacking from way back when
Only served to make her color stronger
More determined and bolder than most to
Reaching for something beautiful, joyful or vibrant.
Not just for her, but for everyone in her tapestry.
Why He allowed the vessel to betray
The flower, who can say -
Who can question the grand design?
But with each suffering and trial came
A richer, deeper, garnet hue –
When we gaze upon our own tapestries,
There is no mistaking the beauty woven in
By her presence. That is where we can find her.
It is a blessing from above when we see
The garnet thread in our tapestry.
