Theodore Tremulis

THEODORE TREMULIS, 90 JUANA DIAZ, PUERTO RICO - Theodore Tremulis, 90, of Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico, formerly of Rockford, Ill., died Tuesday, June 7, 2011, in Puerto Rico after a brief illness. Born March 21, 1921, in Rockford, the son of Miltiades and Olga (Mandakos) Tremulis. Graduate of Harlem High School, Class of 1939, he served in the U.S. Army in the Philippines during World War II. Returning to Rockford after his discharge, he worked at Flowers by Connie for a few years before moving to Ponce, Puerto Rico, and opening the Poinciana Shop, Ponce's leading flower shop, which he owned for more than 30 years before retiring. Survivors include his niece, Joanne C. Tremulis of Chicago. Predeceased by beloved sister, Constance Tremulis; and brothers Angelos and wife, Jean, and Tossie and wife, Beth. Graveside service at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 16, at Willwood Burial Park. Visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, at Fred C.
