Debra Gucciardo

DEBRA JEAN GUCCIARDO, 59 WAUZEKA, Wis. - Debra Jean Gucciardo, 59, of Wauzeka, Wisconsin, ended a long battle with Lupus and related complications on October 17, 2013, at Gunderson Medical Center. Born on February 22, 1954, to Ernest and Shirley Swanson in Oak Park, IL. Graduate of Belvidere High School. Beloved wife of Vincent Gucciardo for 37 years. Fun loving and proud mother of her three children, Christopher Norem (Nancy McKeown), Sarah Norem Chomiak (Michael), and Emily Bouzek (David); cherished grandmother of Genevieve, Cecilia, and Lillian Bouzek; Megan, Colin, and Kaitlyn Norem; and Elizabeth and Amelia Chomiak. She was born a hostess who loved to entertain. She shared her passion of gourmet cooking and gardening with her family and friends. In 1990, the family moved to a hobby farm in Wauzeka, where she enjoyed the outdoors and an elaborate garden of rare plant varieties she grew from seed. When she was not gardening or cooking for her family and friends, she was on her fishing boat with her husband. Though she wouldn't bait her own hook, she always had a way of catching "the big ones" and enjoyed a good Wisconsin Friday night fish fry. Her love of life and deep love for family will be dearly missed. To further Lupus research, she donated her body to science. A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
