SAXTONS RIVER - Dorothy E. Benware, 90, died Nov. 9, 2008, at her home.
She was born Sept. 14, 1918, in Saxtons River, the daughter of Clarence and Olive (Gilbert) Kinney, and attended local schools.
Mrs. Benware worked as a nurse for Rockingham Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of Christ's Church Women's Fellowship, the Polish Club, the Elks, the American Legion and the Loyal Order of the Moose.
Survivors include a son, Lawrence Benware, and two daughters, Elizabeth Clark and Gwendolyn Hood, all of Saxtons River; a brother, Edward Kinney of Largo, Fla.; three sisters, Clara Tarbell of Springfield, Blanche Jantti of Winchester, N.H., and Irene Baker of Charlestown, N.H.; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Norman Benware, whom she married on April 7, 1934, in Bellows Falls; three sons, Theodore, Norman and Robert Benware; two daughters, Jeanette Moul and Christine Benware; six brothers, Henry, Herman, Carroll, James, Earl and Merrill Kinney; and two sisters, Ida Bashaw and Olie Clark.
The graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, in Saxtons River Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Fenton & Hennessey Funeral Home.

Dotty was was one of finest Nurses in RMH, I can't say enough about her She was very caring to everyone she met and I just love her for everything she did for me
