A special thank you to a very special man. My father, Dick Novotny worked for Chief Fletcher and had great respect for him. Our family "grew up" in the Florin Fire Dept. I have many fond memories. My mother, Patty Novotny thought so highly of you, Mrs. Fletcher. God's Blessings...

What a lovely, lovely man. I read of his actions during Japanese internment, and was deeply moved. And what an amazing life he led after the war. It sounds as though he valued people and connection, and lived in a world of love and belonging. We should all be so decent, and so fortunate.
I am very sorry for your loss.

Mr. Robert Fletcher, Jr...the Angels in Heaven rejoice that you have finally joined them. Your unselfish act for three innocent families during World War II is in itself a remarkable story for a remarkable man. In my faith, you are a Mensch. May you Rest in Peace and my thoughts are with your extended family. You touched many in your life.
