Edgar SIMPSON Obituary
SIMPSON, Jr., Edgar Meade
March 3, 1931 - Dec. 25, 2011
A longtime Sloughhouse resident, he grew up on the Sacramento River and graduated from Courtland High School, then served in the Navy from 1950-1954. After the Navy, he came home to be a lifelong rancher and an American West Antique collector.
Preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Nora Simpson and his brother Michael Simpson of Hood, CA.
Survived by Tessie, his wife of 49 years, daughter Meagan Langer (Greg) & children, Brittney & Brandon, daughter Tracy Withrow (Rob) & children, Melissa, Kayla, Sierra and Connor, daughter Pattie Padilla & children, Hannah, Jacob, Sydney & Isabelle.
He is also survived by his sister- in-law Sarah Simpson & family, Michael, Katie & Andy Simpson.
The family invites you to attend a viewing on Sunday January 8 from 12:00-5:00 PM, and the Memorial service on Monday January 9 at 2:00pm. Both will be held at the East Lawn Elk Grove Memorial Park, 9189 East Stockton Blvd., Elk Grove, CA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
