SCANNELL-NAIFY, Eleanor

Eleanor was born on October 11, 1934, in San Mateo, Calif. She attended school there and in 1956 she graduate from University of California at Berkeley. In 1959 she married Leonard Scannell and had three children, Stephen Scannell of Plano, Texas, Richard Scannell of Beaverton, Ore., and Suzanne Perry of Morro Bay, Calif. Eleanor had seven grandchildren, Parker Scannell, Logan Scannell, Madeline Scannell, Gabriel Scannell, Janelle Perry, Noelle Perry, and Rebecca Perry. Eleanor worked for Joseph Magnin in San Francisco and for Century 21. During her lifetime she was active in the American Association of University Women, Alpha Gamma Delta sorority groups, Mercy San Juan Hospital Guild and Fair Oaks Sole Mates Walking Club. Eleanor's husband Leonard passed away in 1993 and in 1998 she married Donald Naify. She and Donald spent 11 years traveling, playing bridge, and visiting family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 21, at Lake Natoma Inn, 702 Gold Lake Drive, Folsom, Calif. Burial will be private at Mount Vernon Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, a donation to your local hospice or other favorite charity would be most appreciated.
