Carol Robinson Obituary

Carol S. Robinson, 88, long time resident of Roseville and Folsom, CA passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 27, 2017 Carol was born in Berry, Alabama on August 13, 1928, the third of nine children born to Rile and Brazzie Sparks. She was the last surviving sibling in the Sparks family. Her journey through life led her to many different places. She was a fashion model in Atlanta, GA where she met her first husband, Charles Davis. They set up a life for themselves in Texas where their daughter, Judy was born. Many years later she met Dr. Stanislaus Jaros, the father of her two children, Kenneth and Nan. They were married in Texas and later moved to Omaha, Nebraska. Many years later and after the death of Dr Jaros she met and married the love of her life, Oroville "Robby' Robinson. He was her soul mate and they were inseparable until his death in 1997. Carol was a loving & generous mother to her three children. She loved talking to people, it was really her most amazing gift. After moving to California with Robby, Carol started Oak House Treatment Center in 1983 in hopes of helping men of this community get clean and sober. She was very successful and dedicated many years of her life to helping others transition from substance abuse to sober living. She not only helped them get sober but was an example of how to live life on lives terms. She continually went above and beyond to build relationships with them and often shared her home for many holidays. She was the shining light of Oak House until her retirement in 2000 and is still remembered by many with admiration for those whose life she touched. Known to her family as Mimi, Carol is survived by her devoted daughter, Judy Krause of Folsom and Nan Jaros, of Antelope, her granddaughters Lisa Eittreim, Nicole Heglie and Tammy Davis and six great grandchildren. Carol is preceded in death by husband, Orville L. Robinson and son, Kenneth A. Jaros. The funeral service will be held at 11am on March 25th,2017 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 803 Figueroa Skeet, Folsom, CA with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers donations to The American Heart Association may be made in Carols name.

Both Carol and Robby Robinson have been very kind and graicous toward me and my family for many years, playing a major role in my family obtaining a home in a community in which we raised our children. My children learned how to swim in their family pool. They hosted us at our their home many times and were wonderful friends and mentors helping me to become a better parent, leading me by example. My heart goes out to the family. I am filled with gratitude for the time we spent together.

I know the grief that your family will be going through, but know that Aunt Carol is in no pain and with her maker now. She was a fighter from the beginning to the end.
