Bob was a major leader during the 9 years I served as pastor at Florin UMC. Much more than that he was a both a supportive and critical friend who helped me fulfill my ministry to a higher standard. I shall forever cherish both Bob and Doris in my life and ministry.

I had the privilege of serving on the Interfaith Service Bureau Board of Trustees with Bob for several years. What a remarkable, faithful and godly man who cared for all. I was greatly blessed to have known this wonderful man. Rest in peace dear friend

God did certainly bless your family with a man of integrity and compassion for others. I am thankful that he was one of my teacher's in Jr. High School. Through the years as I have looked back on my life, Mr. Fossgreen was a teacher who truly set an example for his students. This makes me want to be a better person. God Bless you and your family. I'm so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. He was such a concerned teacher and impacted many lives. He and Doris loved hosting top English students and their teachers at Kerr. He also took new teachers under his wing and helped them get established in their new careers, always encouraging them to save for their future.

I am honored I had the opportunity to work with Bob on several projects. We sat on the SUMU board together and after talking to me for 6 mos., convinced me to help the Sacramento Community Concert Association. I am helping with promotions. It was hard to say no to such a nice guy. He was most helpful to me at my church from remodeling projects to cooking at our potlucks, sharing food with me and making donations to my projects. I miss his calls! We could talk and talk about everything. He was a great listener and mentor.

I have known Bob the past three or four years and have known of his influence long before that. We express our best wishes and sympathies to his children and grandchildren. He was a GOOD man! We won't forget him. The Board of Trustees and our many friends join with me in remebering this fine man. He left the world a better place than what he found it.
