COOK, Grace Elizabeth
It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of our beloved Grace Cook. Born in Roseville, CA on July 13, 2010, Grace peacefully passed away on October 23, 2010 from Early Myoclonic Epileptic Encephalopathy, a rare seizure disorder. She was 14-weeks old. At her bedside were her parents Brien and Holly Cook of Sacramento. She is also survived by her paternal grandparents Barry and Linda Cook; maternal grandparents John Willet and Jennifer Skonieczny; uncle Ed Andrews; and siblings Gabriel and Brendle Cook. Even though she had an arduous start to life, her parents loved her very much and met her every need. Gracie enjoyed the simple things in life such as: mommy singing to her, bath time with daddy, and going for long walks in her stroller. She taught so many people to cherish life and the ones you love. A Remembrance Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday October 29th at the Sylvan Cemetery District gazebo at 7401 Auburn Blvd., Citrus Heights, CA. Arrangements provided by Reichert's Funeral Service at 7320 Auburn Blvd., Citrus Heights, CA 95610.

She is adorable, and I am so sorry all of this has happened. I can't even imagine how much you must miss her. You have written a beautiful tribute to her with your blog, and I know she felt so loved and adored. I am thinking of you today, as I have since she was first diagnosed, and know that you can be proud of the wonderful life you gave her, even though it was too short.

Grace is so beautiful. She is truly one of God's Angels. Reading your journal was a real eye opener that everyone should truly cherish every day and everyone. I have had a life changing experience in beating breast cancer. Grace maybe taught the doctors something new to use with her to study. ALthough I personally never met Grace I learned of her love and spirit through a friend of yours. We have been praying for all of you and know you were as much of a blessing to Grace as she is to you. We will continue to pray that though Grace many will learn about Early Myoclonic Epileptic Encephalopathy and one day because of what is learned from Grace that a cure will be found.
