Harry Cline Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Jun. 18 to Jun. 22, 2017.
Born on September 12, 1918, in Holton Kansas to Mary and Harry Cline Sr. Died on May 28, 2017 at the sage old age of 98. H. Cline, as he often referred to himself, was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Bernice. Loving father to Margo Van Der Volgen (Robb), grandfather of 3 (Justin, Sarah, Becky) and great grandfather to Millie. Harry was a Radar Specialist in the Army from 1941-1945. He had a lengthy career as an Electrical Engineer for Pacific Telephone and Telegraph. The project he was most proud of was his work on the California Aqueduct. He was an active member of the Amateur Radio Operators, the Professional Electrical Engineers, the Melody Club, the American Theatre Organ Society and the Unitarian Church. Harry loved fixing anything and everything for his family and friends. He had an insatiable childlike curiosity and a wonderful sense of humor which he retained to the very end. He was a shining example of "living in the moment". When it was clear that his time was coming to an end, he passed quietly and quickly. Harry made a positive impact on this earth. We will miss him dearly.

My sincere condolences to your family. May God "who comforts us in all our trials" (2 Cor 1:4) comfort you and your family at such a difficult time. I know God will help you to endure because he cares for you (1Peter 5 :7).
