James A. McArthur

Dr. James A. McArthur Resident of Rancho Murieta, CA, passed away May 9, 2015 at the age of 63. Born in San Antonio, TX, Jim was the eldest child of Dr. James Allen McArthur, Sr., and Mary Ellen Pesch. He is survived by his children, Bram, Lucas, Katherine and Duncan, siblings, Anne Johnson, Kathy Huslage, John McArthur and David McArthur. Survived by his loving wife, Pamela. Jim grew up in Salinas, CA and Australia. He then went to college to first become a Doctor of Osteopathy and then changed course to his calling, a child Psychiatrist. Schooling, Pomona College, Michigan State and University of Michigan. Throughout his travels, his one constant was music and his church. No matter where he was, he was a member of his church's choir and played drums in the praise bands. Viewing will be on May 14, 2015, 12 pm to 5 pm, Elk Grove Funeral Chapel, 9101 Elk Grove Blvd, Elk Grove, CA. Services will be held at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 8701 Elk Grove Florin Rd, Elk Grove, CA 95624, at 9:30 am, May 15, 2015. Inurnment in private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Elk Grove, in memory of Jim.
