John Christopher Obituary
He was born in August of 1927, in Trenton, N.J., to Frederick and Mary Christopher. John grew up in Lansing.
He was a World War II veteran and graduate of Ithaca College. John received a degree in physical education, and continued his education, allowing him to teach a variety of subjects in Dryden, Richfield Springs and Whitesboro.
He became a principal at East Syracuse-Minoa and Little Valley, as well as a superintendent in Laurens, Pavilion and Hartford.
Toward the end of his career, he worked at the state Education Department, in Albany. After retirement, he accepted a few interim roles to remain active.
John resided in Little Valley and Hartford during his final years. John enjoyed traveling to see family, golfing and painting.
Mr. Christopher is survived by his brothers, Rudy, Tony and Dominic; his sister, Celeste; sons, John Jr., Chris and Russell; daughters, Ann Marie (Anderson) and Tina; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 70 years, Ann, who passed away Nov. 24.
Mr. Christopher will be buried in the Saratoga Veterans Cemetery.

My Uncle John was a tremendous person. He always had a sense of humor and was a fantastic family man. I loved him like he was my own father.
