Betty Propst Curlee

SALISBURY - Mrs. Betty Propst Curlee, 72, of Salisbury, passed away Monday, March 12, 2012, at the Brian Center of 3405 Sides Road, Rockwell.

Born May 7, 1939, in Rowan County to the late Sara Loudary Minster and Robert Lee Propst, she was educated in the Rowan County School System.

Mrs. Curlee worked for Rowan Memorial Hospital in housekeeping and also worked as a private caretaker in homes. She was a member of Community Baptist Church. Mrs. Curlee loved people and puzzles.

Preceding her in death were her brother, R.L. Propst Jr., and sister, Sara Helen Hall.

Surviving are her husband, Jimmy Curlee, who she married June 10, 2006; brothers James Ray Propst of Salisbury, Willie Propst of Salisbury and Frankie Propst of Charlotte; sister Bess Moorefield of Lexington; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation and Service: The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Thursday (March 15) at Summersett Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in Summersett Memorial Chapel, conducted by Rev. Keith Mason, Minister of Community Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Rowan Memorial Park.
