Frank Eidson Obituary
MOORESVILLE - Mr. Frank "Leroy" Eidson, 76, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away Monday, Aug. 22, 2011, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast in Concord.
Mr. Eidson was born Sept. 16, 1934, in Kannapolis, the son of the late William Baxter Eidson and Estelle Eagle Eidson Angel. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he retired from the Kannapolis Sanitary District.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister Faynell Davis.
Mr. Eidson is survived by his wife of 56 years, Wanella Jones Eidson; four daughters, Rose Marie Futch and husband Michael of Rockwell, Sherlena Wright of Texas, Bonnie Dabbette Breedlove of Raleigh and Tessie Elizabeth Whitehead and husband Chris of Texas; two sons, Billy Lee Eidson of Albemarle and Damon Leroy Eidson and wife Leslie Marie of Kannapolis; three sisters, Jane Kirk, Ann Wayne and Kay Hammill; 17 grandchildren and; eight great-grandchildren.
Service: A funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24 at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Frank Smith will officiate. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Lady's Funeral Home.
