Jean was always ready to welcome you to his home and have a cup of red wine from his water cooler waiting for you. He was a great man! Before I ever actually met him, I heard about him and Mary through my family, who ran the hogar hotel. He will be missed and my heart goes out to all of his family. The gaztambide family has always treated my family well, in turn, I think of them as my extended family. My condolences.

I was only able to attend Jean's famous Birthday Celebrations a few times but boy, were they memorable. He was such a natural host, making all feel comfortable and welcome in his home. Such a warm, friendly, and genuine individual. He will be missed. Thoughts and prayers to all his family and friends.
