Paul, and your sweet girls:
It hasn't been long since your family became a part of my life. My affection for you all has deepened over the years, from my first meeting with Billy in Aspen and then our subsequent friendship. Our summer visits, stopovers on the way to Lakewood, long visits with you in Price and SLC, seem an ether now, but were so real and precious to me. From our long religious and political wranglings to a day-in day-out kind of familial connection. Joy, fun, laughter, the excitement of every day around you guys. The frisson of life wherever you were.
These I will miss... and the broken heart of the world when someone like Billy is lost seems never to mend. My home is open to you, and I hope to visit with you soon, Paul.

Paul,
I just heard of Billy's passing. I am so sorry for your loss. I so much enjoyed playing with you and Billy in all those CEU concerts! I had to pull out my CD of "Strings Attached" and listen again to that great concert! I am convinced that we will once again have the chance to play music together at some future time. The obituary was beautiful, as was Billy.
May you be comforted at this difficult time - our family's thoughts and prayers are with you.

Billy was one of the most elegant and endearing women I've ever known. She could make a violin sing and then turn with a sparkle in her eye and zing you with such love and good humor that you couldn't help but laugh at yourself and whatever sticky situation you'd gotten yourself in. And she was a brave friend, standing beside me when no one else could or would. She was an angel already in this life...and I believe that she will continue to be a blessing to all those who have known her. All my love to you, Paul and family. You're in my prayers.

Words cannot express what I am feeling for your loss. I cherish the time we had together when you two lived in Colorado. Billy had that rare gift to light up a room when she walked in.
I am deeply saddened and can only imagine what your are going through. It is obvious the love that Billy shared during her short life on this earth. Know that this love will live on for eternity in our hearts and souls.

Dear Gentry and Brown Family,
I am very saddend to hear about the loss of Billy. We were best friends in High School and after that we lost touch and moved onto different things in life. I want to express to Billy's family how grateful I am to have met her at the School of Music. Billy was always kind to all, a friend to everyone - especially to those that needed one, and an excellent musician. Her presence was missed today at school, and we will continue to miss her.

Billy went to school with my son and was a devoted friend to him and all who were blessed to know her. Her music touched the soul as words never could. Her violin solo in the Price Community's "Fiddler On The Roof" was both stirring and haunting. Such as her soul. May your daughters keep the best of you in their hearts and understanding in their minds. What a blessing to have had her as a wife, mother, daughter, friend, musician, and angel. Now there is peace for sweet, sweet Billy.
