Dear Michelle,
Although we have never met, my heart goes out to you. I was standing near you at the edge of the water at the triathalon. I prayed for you and your family at that moment and continue to pray for you. I was born the same month & year as you and Chris, so it really hit me hard how precious and short this life is. However, I know that we share the same beliefs that it doesn't end here. Our Heavenly Father has big plans for Chris. He sounds like such a wonderful man. The stories I have read about him, and his passing have inspired me and reminded me to live each day to the fullest.

I don't know you or chris, but my heart goes out to you. My mother went through a similair situation. At the age of 26 my father was killed in a a car accident. My brother was 5, my sister 3 and my mother was three months pregnant with me. Even though your daughter will never know her father on this earth, I feel they are together now awaiting the special day of her birth. I have a special bond with my father even though I never knew him on this earth, and I'm sure your daughter will too.
You and your family are in my prayers.

My sister just heard about Chris, put it together that he belonged to you and just let me know what has happened! I have been trying to pick my jaw up off he floor for the last 24 hours! I am so shocked and am grieving with you! I have heard what a wonderful man, husband, and father he was and want you to know that I know he is "going ahead" to prepare the way for you and your little ones to join him. It sounds like he was already an angel here on earth! I know you must be going through the hardest part of grieving right now (I couldn't even smile for months after losing our infant son) but want you to know that the Holy Ghost will help you cope and heal even though you will never forget! Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you! We just love you so much!

Michelle, I was just asked today if I had seen the person from Bountiful High in the obituaries and all I can say is I'm shocked and am so sorry for your loss. You were one of my first friends when I moved to Utah and I was so happy when I heard you and Chris got married. I remember Chris as one of the greatest guys. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

We have never met, but as i was holding the large umbrella while the medical staff was doing CPR on Chris, i started praying for you and your young family. I still pray now for you to come to some understanding of why. Interesting fact is my birthday is July 6th as well. You will be in my prayers for ever. Jay

Chris was a very special person and our thoughts and prayers are with the Eborn family. I had the opportunity to work with Chris and witnessed his character and committment to doing the right thing for his clients. He was always a positive light for others in the office and I am thankful to have had the opportunity to know him. Our hearts and prayers go out to the entire family on the loss of Chris. His memory will live on through those in which he touched while here on earth.

I want to express my deepest sympathy to your family for your loss. I worked with Chris at AIG VALIC and got to know him pretty well. He was a wonderful guy and spoke much of his family. I am completely shocked to hear of this tragedy, but know that the knowledge your family has of the gospel will help you through this tough time. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

It has been over ten years since I worked with Chris at Fidelity and I remember even all these years later how much I liked Chris and what a great person he was. He was always so nice and sincere and I remember him telling us about you, Michelle and how you were born in the same hospital. I cannot express how sorry I am for your loss. He was truly a great guy.

Although we live miles apart & have never met, we have something in common as our firstborn entered this world on 7/7/71. It is always so sad to hear of a young person's passing especially when he has a growing family. I know the birth of your daughter in August will be bittersweet.
Hang tight to your many precious memories. I pray that our Heavenly Father will cradle you all in the palm of His Hand & comfort you in the difficult days ahead.

I was lucky enough to know and work with Chris; and he lit up the office.
Some of the greatest gifts Chris gave to everyone he knew was his warmth and his genuine smiles and his caring, and these will stay with us for the rest of our lives.

My thoughts are with your parents, Ellis and Jeannine. I got to know them when they visited Denver not too long ago. You did not have to talk to them long to know that family was everything to them. Jeannine showed us pictures of your family and she just glowed as she talked about you and your beautiful children.

Michelle, Jon, Ellis & Jeanine, my heart breaks for your family. I as many feel helpless wishing I could do or say something to ease your hurting. I appreciate so much the information on the internet, thank you Jon. My heart is touched when I log on every couple of hours. When I saw that picture of Chris I was able to remember him totally again. Chris will now, more than ever, have a positive affect on many other lives. Everyone that knew Chris and now even total strangers will all take a look at our lives, our families, friends and evaluate making sure we are at peace with ourselves and our relationships. To Michelle, I am thankful for our Heavenly Fathers plan as I look at your beautiful children and want you to know that I will continue to pray for you and them. Hopefully one day we will all understand why...God bless you all.

My husband and I were sitting at our sons baseball game just over a week ago when Chris came over and shook my husbands hand and said hello to us. We had not seen him since last years base ball season. As he walked away I said to my husband, "what a genuine guy, he has always been so nice to us."
