Clark Gustaveson Obituary

Clark Silven Gustaveson Vernal, Utah Clark Silven Gustaveson, 49, passed away April 1, 2009, in Roosevelt, UT, of a sudden heart attack. He was born June 28, 1959, in Salt Lake City, UT, to Audrey Jean Peterson and the late Lee Scott Gustaveson. Clark grew up in Riverton, Bountiful, and Peterson, UT. He moved to Virginia with his family when he was 14. He graduated from Annandale, VA, High School in 1978 and then joined the Marines in 1981. He served in Okinawa, Korea, and the Philippines and was honorably discharged April 19, 1985. He then moved back to Bountiful, UT, and then to Vernal in 1988 where he met the love of his life, Jackie Jackson. They were married May 26, 1989. They moved to Tucson in 1997 and back to Vernal in 2000. Clark owned Clark's Custom Concrete. He was a master dart thrower (winning many trophies), an avid Redskins and Jazz fan, loved traveling, hiking, camping, contract rummy, and spending quality time with his family. He lived by THE SECRET and was a great example, friend, and teacher to all. He was loved dearly by so many and will be sorely missed. He is survived by his wife, Jackie; children-Ernie (Linda) Cordova, Jake (April) Cordova, Ashley (Jeremy) Hunter, and Jessi Gustaveson of Vernal, UT, and Colby Gregg, Farewell, Michigan; 12 grandchildren; mother-West Jordan, UT; siblings-Karen Lee, Vernal, UT, Sherrie (Tom) Day, Moab/Mt. Pleasant, UT, Marla (Dan) Floyd, West Jordan, UT; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, and brother, Scott Louis Gustaveson. Funeral services will be Mon., April 6, at 2 p.m., at the Vernal 8th Ward LDS Church, 1270 West 1500 South. Viewing will be one hour prior to services and Sun., April 5, at the Thomson-Blackburn Mortuary, 15 East 100 North, Vernal, from 6-8 p.m. Burial will be at the Dry Fork Cemetery near Vernal. Compassionate service provided by the Vernal 8th Ward Relief Society.
