Hunter Weiss Obituary
Magna, UT-Our Sweet baby boy, Hunter "Gunner" Joseph Weiss was called home after a short time on earth. Hunter brought an enormous amount of love and joy into our lives. His big heart touched so many. Hunter loved his mom and dad, and always made sure they knew it. He loved being a big brother to his little sister Adelaide. We know he will always be watching over her and us.
Hunter was full of life and he made the most of every day. Hunter enjoyed the outdoors and anything typical of a boy. Playing with trucks, tractors, trailers, tools, motorcycles, camping, fishing, shooting guns, playing with his cousins, and getting dirty. He was the best snuggler! Everyone loved his hugs. He enjoyed school and just perfected writing his name.
Hunter is survived by his loving parents, Cody Weiss / Sierra Prows Weiss; his younger sister Adelaide; his adoring grandparents John and Terri Marks, Brent and Nora Prows, along with great-grandparents, a great-great grandmother, many cherished aunts, uncles, and fun loving cousins. We Love You Always Little Buddy!
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 12, 2016 - 11:00 a.m. in the Parkside LDS Ward Chapel, 3610 South 8400 West, Magna, Utah. Viewings will be on Friday, March 11 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. prior to the services Both at the LDS Church. Interment will follow the services in the Valley View Memorial Park Cemetery, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah. Arrangements are in the care of Avalon Funeral Services.

I'm so sorry for your family. I haven't seen Hunter for a few years, but as his former preschool teacher, my heart is breaking. I'm sorry I missed the funeral, but please know that you're all in my thoughts at this difficult time. I don't know your family, but this heartbreaking story has brought me back to when I unexpectedly lost my 5 year old little boy just one year ago. My heart physically hurts for his sweet mother. Hunter reminds me a lot of my son. You have constantly been in my prayers this week, and my whole family is praying for you and especially Hunter's grandpa. A friend of mine gave me some insight once that I'll never forget. The reason why we hurt so badly when we lose a loved one is because we'd never felt grief or sadness before this Earthy existence. We were never hurt, lonely, and we had absolutely no understanding of losing someone we love. As much as you are hurting right now, please take comfort in knowing that these horrible feelings exist only in this Earthly life. When we get Home there will be no pain. You will never have to miss Hunter again. This heartache will be lifted from you forever. Your entire family will spend all eternity snuggling and getting dirty with Hunter. It's going to be amazing! The Lord will ease your burden if you give it to Him. I have absolute faith that He will and that He wants to. Praying for your family.
