INEZ CABRERA Obituary

Inez L. Cabrera In Memory of Our much loved "Mom", "Momma", "Granny", "Gramma Bera", "Iney" passed away Friday, September 25, 2009, in Salt Lake City, Utah.Inez was born in Montrose, Colorado, April 8, 1923. She was the mother of four children, Irene (Gerald C.) Gray, Richard Cabrera (deceased), Jesse J. Cabrera, and Ralphine (Crist G.) Kennell. She worked at ZCMI for 42 years where she made many lifelong friends. Inez is survived by three children, nine grandchildren, 17 great-grand-children, and 12 great-great-grandchildren who will remember her most for her spunky personality and sparkling eyes (along with false eyelashes). She enjoyed telling funny stories, shopping and reading. She loved her cars and is best known for her mad driving skills in her yellow Camaro. She was constantly knitting or crocheting. She loved to put on her favorite jewelry to go out with a friend or family member to a movie and the Red Lobster. Always a "Night Owl", you could call her at 1:00 a.m. and have a great conversation. This wonderful lady will be greatly missed. A celebration of Inez's life will be held Tuesday, September 29 at 11:30 a.m. at the LDS church located at 3175 South 3450 West, West Valley City, Utah. Friends and family are encouraged to join us.

Ralphine and Irene,
I am sorry to hear of your moms passing. I remember her from my childhood as my mothers friend. She was a lovely woman and always looked spectacular. I think I mostly remember her eyes as they were always filled with kindness. You were blessed with a wonderful woman to call mom.

I will miss Aunt Iney, but will never forget the summers spent at her house when I was little, I loved the chandelier. Aunt Iney is now joining my Dad (Ralph) and the rest of her siblings.

Irene, Ralphine & Jr., your loss is great, but you have many memories to treasure.
