JAMES ADAMS Obituary

James Robert "Rob" Adams 1976 ~ 2009 James Robert Adams returned home to Heavenly Father on December 2, 2009, while surrounded by his family. Born October 14, 1976, he was the second child of Beecher Dan Jr. and Karen Wolfgramm Adams. He grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. Rob attended Skyline High School and Salt Lake Community College. He was an avid Sports fan and excelled in Football. Rob enjoyed spending time with his friends and had a great sense of humor. Rob was generous, loyal, and loved his family more than anything. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the New Zealand, Auckland Mission. Eight and 1/2 years ago Rob's life was changed dramatically when he was in a car accident which left him paralyzed. Despite this challenge, he lived courageously and will forever remain our HERO. He is survived by his parents of Salt Lake City, brother Daniel Adams (Megan) of Salt Lake City, sisters Kelie Stanclift (JR) of St. George, Kristi Johnson (Chase) of Provo, grandfather Beecher Dan Adams of Salt Lake City, grandmother Edna Wolfgramm of Salt Lake City. His nieces and nephew - Ariana, Annika, Alyvia, and Ethan - he adored and were the light of his life. He was preceded in death by his Nana, Marilyn Adams and his grandpa, Rudolph Wolfgramm. Funeral services will be held Monday, Dec. 7th, at 12:00 noon at the Mt. Olympus North Stake Center located at 4176 S. Adonis Drive (3930 E.) in Salt Lake City. An evening viewing will be held on Sunday, Dec. 6th at Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary located at 2350 East 1300 South from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and preceding the funeral service from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. Interment and grave side services will be at Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary in Salt Lake. I was friends with Kelie at Skyline. We all looked up to Rob and thought he was so great, especially since he actually was nice to us sophomores. I am sorry to hear of his passing. I'm thinking of you and hope that you can feel the love of the Savior at this time.

Karen and Dan,
I feel so blessed to have become a part of your family and had these past couple years to know Robbie. What an amazing family you have created! The service and love that both of you showed Rob is truly the ultimate gift of selflessness, and I know it was your honor to be with him every day. Our door is open day and night to you and I hope you will be down to spend time with us a lot! I am so proud of your strength and courage during this time.
Love,
Megan

I was in the same grade as Rob at Skyline. We knew each other because we had many mutual friends.Although WE never actually hung out I did consider him to be a friend. At the services yesterday someone acutually said that everyone thought they were Robs best friend. I get that. I have very fond memories of Rob from high school. I wish his family some comfort in knowing just how highly he was regarded by all that knew him.

I went to oakridge elementary with my buddie, who two weeks ago contacted me. I had the chance to let him know how much I valued his friendship then and for the rest of eternity. I know you are so happy now and it is us who are sad because though you are here for us we wont SEE you until we cross the vail. GOD SPEED TO YOU!

I'm sorry to hear about Rob's passing. I knew him since elementary school. Although, we were not close as time went on, I remember him as being a good person, talented, and well-liked by his peers. My thoughts go to his family at this time.

News of Rob's passing brought immediate sorrow. His courage and good sense of humor is something I've reflected on and shared with others. He has influenced my life and that of my family. I'm likewise in awe of the way his parents have shouldered their responsibilities. Sorrow and grief last through the night, but joy comes in the morning. -- Rich & Sherrie Wolfgramm

I want to express my deepest sympathy to you and tell you that your family is one of the finest examples of love and service. I remember babysitting your kids and hoping that one day I would have a family as cute as yours. As difficult as it was for me to lose a brother, I can't imagine losing a son. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

To the Adams family,

May you know that the heartbreaking loss of Rob is one that is felt not just by those who knew him personally. From what my daughter Danielle has expressed to me, Rob was surely an angel on loan from God to remind us all of what love is and the grace in which you, his beloved family, is facing with this indescribable loss, is yet another tribute to him.

Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

I loved working with Rob as did our customers and other employees- he was always so good working with people. I always felt better when I was around Rob, he had great insight into others and such a good sense of humor. I send my love and sorrow to Dan and Karen and family.

Dan and Karen and family,

Michael and I were saddened to learn about Rob, your Hero. Indeed, your family was probably his crew of heroes and heroines. May he be held always in your hearts as such and may you both be filled with peace, love, and mighty healing.
With aloha,

My daughter Danielle, who has been an aide and a friend, loved him dearly. She has always had nothing but kind words for Rob and his family. She loved hanging out with him and wished she could get him out more. She shares your sorrow. I share her's. Thank you for choosing her to care for your son. She will always cherish the memories. With deepest sympathy always.

Dear Family,
While I don't know you the thoughts and feelings expressed in the obit got my attention. Just wanted to mention to you that in all life, the Savior is mindful of us and it is in him that we can find peace and healing. May you feel Heavenly Father's arms around you during this time.

My daughter Nona has always considered Rob to be like one of her brothers. The 3 years she "lived" at your house during high school was a great time for her. She enjoyed the teasing from Rob, and his friendship. My thanks to your wonderful family, and my deepest sympathy.
