Kathy taught my children and always took special interest in them through the years. When John Paul was on his mission her boys prayed for him. We visited Kathy and Lenny just before leaving on our mission. We will treasure that sweet time together and remember Kathy as a dear, kind, lovely teacher, friend and colleague. Our sympathy and prayers to all of you~Lenny, Jennifer, Gregg, & Eric~at this sad time. It has been very special with you as close friends and neighbors all these years, and what wonderful memories we share! Your family was among the first we ever knew in our neighborhood, and later Jennifer, along with the boys, were Jay's best babysitters and older friends. And Kathy~what a dear wife, mom, and grandma with her sparkling attitude and great love of life! We feel blessed to have known her for so long. May God watch over her now and give your whole family peace and comfort. Love to all~

Although it has been more than 30 years, I still remember Mrs. Sorensen as the best third grade teacher a kid could have. She was truly a great teacher and even better person. May God bless you and your family.

I had the pleasure of being Mrs. Sorensen's student in the second and fifth grades. She was one of the greatest teachers I ever had. She encouraged us to think and work hard, and nurtured our creativity through many clever art projects, some of which still hang in my parents' home today. She was a wonderful person who made everyone in the class feel special. I will never forget the impact she had on my life. God bless you, Mrs. Sorensen, and may peace be with your family.
