I was just reading your beautiful memories and it is the most heart warming thing I have read in my life. I never got the chance to meet you but everything I heard about you makes me feel as if I known you forever. You are a very special angel and I know you are watching over your family. I would give anything to go back and be able to just say hi to you or even give you a hug. My heart feels so warm when I read everything everyone has written about you. I know one day I will get the oppurtunity to meet you. I hope you are filling the heavens with lots of laughs and joy and I know for sure my dad is there wth you because all angels belong together. To the girl with the power to rule the world, Markelle, I only got to know you for a short time, but I am so thankful for it. You gave me a reason to believe that God is great, and he never lets us down. You walked such a tough road in life, and still kept smiling! I miss watching Charmed reruns, and eating potato salad. Everyone has said that you are such an inspiration to them, well I agree, you are that and more. We all go through this life and cry and moan that it is so tough, But not you, carrying your TPN backpack, and being the little mother to Gage and Hagen, wishing that you could go to school, but being grateful that your teacher would come and visit. You taught me so much about being thankful for the things we normally take for granted. You were always the strong one when the rest of us couldn't keep it together. Heidi, Brandon, Mikalie, Cameron, Gage, if you ever read this, Thank you! Thank you for taking me into your life, and letting me learn all of the lessons that Markelle had to teach me, I still have a lot to learn, but she put me on the right track. Mikalie, I love you, and I know Markelle is so very grateful that you were her big sister. You always did what was best for her, and helped to keep her entertained when she was bored. Be proud that you were blessed with your sister Markelle, because I know she is proud she was blessed with you as her sister. Know that she is always with you, helping to guide you in the right direction! Allie, you also amaze me, and I believe you too are a part of Markelle's family. I think that you remember a certain night that I needed to rely on you, an almost complete stranger and you came a running, no hesitation, just an, "I am on my way!" You answered questions that night that I never could have in a million years!!! And made the answers seems so simple. I am so incredibly grateful that you helped me help them. You are so strong, and compassionate, and what can I say, Amazing!! Heidi and the kids are so lucky to have you in their lives. I can never express all of my appreciation for your family! So I guess I will say it as simply as possible, Thank you. Markelle, "Rae," I love you more than you will ever know!

What a beautiful princess Rae was! I can't even begin to tell you how much Markelle touched my life. She was my inspiration, and sometimes the sole reason that I continued as a pediatric nurse. She could make me work extra any day, as long as I could take care of her. Her wise soul taught me so much about life, even when she was only four or five years old. I will always remember her smile, her laugh, her cute cheeks, and getting to snuggle her. She changed the way I look at life. She was so tough through every step of her battle, and I admire her so much. Thanks so much, Heidi and Brandon, for letting my be a part of her life, for allowing me into your home, and trusting me with your amazing princess. I will forever be thankful for all of the times I just "happened" to be Markelle's nurse. I love you guys, and if there is anything I can do, please let me know. but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.

That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,

because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
