Morley Sprague Obituary

March 24, 1955 ~ June 5, 2014
Morley Reed Sprague II (Reed), 59, returned to our loving Heavenly Father on Thursday June 5, 2014 at his home in Kaysville, Utah surrounded by his loving family. His family grieves his loss, but is grateful that his 20-year struggle with MS has ended and that he no longer suffers from his afflictions. He endured the pain with dignity, strength, and a smile on his face, inspiring those around him with his positive attitude.
He was born March 24, 1955 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Morley and Vaniece Sprague. An active member of the LDS Church, he served a mission in Sydney, Australia. On June 27, 1980, he married the love of his life, Cheryl Morgan, in the Salt Lake City, Utah LDS Temple. He was a hard worker and loved learning, a trait he received from his father, and passed on to his children. He had a keen interest in chemistry and environmental geology. He had many talents, including his love of cooking.
Reed is survived by his grieving wife, Cheryl; his children, Morley (Virginia), Adelaide (Steven); and Ashton; grandchildren Aurora, Cassie, Kaili, and, Ezra. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Hope. Also surviving are his parents, and siblings Ruthann (Henry), Damon, and Collin (Rose).
Reed loved his children and grandchildren. He had a special relationship with each of them, and they will greatly miss him. He loved genealogy work, and loved the outdoors - especially camping, hiking, and being in the water. He also enjoyed making those around him happy, and always had a quick smile and great joke. We love you, Papa. We miss you already.
Reed's family would like to show their appreciation to Dr. Mary Parsons and South Davis Home Health and Hospice.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday June 14, 2014 at 10:00 A.M., at the Kaysville Utah West Stake Center (270 W Burton Lane, Kaysville, UT). A viewing will be held Friday June 13, 2014 from 6:00 P.M to 8:00 P.M. at the Kaysville Utah West Stake Center, and on Saturday from 8:30 A.M. to 9:45 A.M., prior to the services. Interment will be at the Kaysville City Cemetery (500 E Crestwood Rd, Kaysville, UT).

Sprague Family,
I'm so sorry to hear about Reed. Our condolences Cheryl, Morley, Adelaide and Ashton.
Our Prayers are with you at this time.
I've spent hours remembering my time spent with Reed through school and years after. Not just sure how we came together but I will always cherish it as one of the best things that happened in my life. I was fascinated watching him build/weld things out of nuts and bolts in his dad's garage and not to forget driving around in the corvair.
What a great man and always with a smile.
With the deepest of love my friend.
