Moana, I'm so sorry to hear of your father's passing. I know it must have been a wonderful reunion, however, to meet his lovely wife, son and other family. I just found out reading the BYU-Hawaii newsletter or I would have been so grateful to attend his services and remember. I'll have to tell him when I see him again. Love you, Moana

I remember Art (as we called him) from my teenage and early twenties. He was a friend of my brother Willis Park Rokes, and he and Justin used to visit quite a bit before they all married. Art called me in Hawaii when I was there. I never got the opportunity to visit him and Myrna when I was living there, but I loved them both for their kindness. I believe it was just after the birth of Moana. Last time I saw Art was at Utah Valley University (College at that time) when he was honored for the David O McKay statue he did for the school. He was the sweetest and kindest man ever, and incredibly talented. May God bless all of you and enjoy those sweet memories you must have of your dear father.

Moana, Nancy, Jared and Malia - We love you all - such wonderful memories of being together in Laie. Ortho and Myrna were both exceptional people, and although years passed without seeing each other, we were still GOOD Friends. May you each have peace in your hearts at this time. Elaine Mayfield

Two things that come to mind when I remember Ortho Fairbanks: His help and support for us when we were building our house; and the wonderful smile that stayed on his face when I visited, on his last birthday. Such a sweet, gentle, gracious man!
Unforgettable.

Such a gentle loving soul, but so powerfully capable of such incredibly sensitive and expressive work. Well done my friend!!! Love to the family.
